1. About Scriptures
The entire Bible is the inspired word of God and that men were moved by the Spirit of God to write the very words of Scripture. Therefore we believe the Word of God is without error and serves as our ultimate authority in all matters of life.
2. About God
We believe in one God who exist in three distinct persons. This doctrine is defined as the Trinity. We believe God has revealed Himself in three persons; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
3. About Humanity
We believe that man was created in the image of God and to have fellowship with God. Through sinful disobedience man became alienated from God. As result man is incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through his own efforts. The only means of reconciliation for mankind is through God.
4. About Salvation
We believe that salvation can only be found in Jesus Christ, the Son of God. We believe that Jesus Christ became our substitute on the cross, taking our sins on Himself and suffering in our place for sin. Salvation is available to all who will believe in and trust on the sinless life, sacrificial death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
5. About The Church
We believe that the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is head. The members of the Church are those that have trusted in the finished work of Christ. The mission of the Church is to evangelize and make disciples for the Kingdom of God. The purpose of the Church is to glorify God through worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry and prayer.
6. About the Family
We believe God has ordained the family as the foundational institution of human society. Marriage being the uniting of one man and one woman in a covenant for a
lifetime. Children from the moment of conception are a blessing and heritage from God.
7. About Eternity
We believe in the reality of a literal heaven and hell. A person's eternal destiny is decided while living on this earth. Through Jesus Christ a person can spend eternity in heaven. If a person chooses to reject the offer of salvation through the finished work of Jesus Christ then their eternal state will be in a place the Bible calls Hell. Heaven is the place of eternal reward and hell is the place or eternal judgment.
Faith is more than what happens on Sunday mornings. It's a part of who we are, inside and out. At Sand Hill Baptist Church, we believe in sharing the joy of the gospels daily, and living a life that embodies the spirit of Christ.
